In New York, I rarely ate pizza because I only liked Grimaldi’s in Brooklyn which was far from where I lived. In Hong Kong, I find myself eating pizza fairly regularly because I am homesick for New York. Ironic.
Recently, I tried Pizzeria Pubblico due to the rave reviews. Many have said it is better than Paesano’s in Hong Kong, which does not mean much as I dislike Paesano’s pizza. But Paesano’s is very popular with the locals and is a good value for your money.
Their plain slice might not look like much but it is the best plain slice I have had in a long time. Flavorful and non-oily. The only negative is that it is on the small side. I need at least 2 slices to be full. For comparison’s sake, I only need one slice from Paesano’s to be full.
Overall: Highly recommend the plain, but the pepperoni tastes off.
Pizzera Pubblico is located at: G/F, Tsun Wing Lane, Central, right next to the mid-level escalators. Open from 11:00-23:00.

Not sure if you’ve already tried Pizzeria Jacomax in Sheung Wan, but I think it’s the best pizza I’ve had in HK.
I tried Jacomax about a month back. It is good but not as good as Pubblico, but tons better than Paesano’s. Although, Jacomax is not too generous on their toppings.
I actually tried Jacomax due to your view and was going to review it until Pubblico exceeded my expectations.
